The threshold of a residence permit for TAPU has been increased to $ 200 000
The other day, information was received from the Cadastral Chamber of Alanya that the cost of expert and cadastral assessment of real estate for obtaining a residence permit under TAPU (ownership) has been increased from $ 75,000 to $ 200,000 (that is, the threshold has increased) in lira equivalent.
The resolution has already entered into force!
The new norm applies to those who receive a certificate of ownership of real estate from October 16. 2023.
Such owners will be able to obtain a primary residence permit on the basis of real estate ownership only if the estimated and cadastral value of this property is equal to or exceeds $ 200,000.
At the same time, the total ownership of several housing objects for this amount is not suitable for a residence permit — only one object.
And if you have a residence permit for a certain period and you decide to sell your property and replace it with another object in Turkey that is more attractive and comfortable, this law also applies to you as well. The next purchase must pass at a cadastral and estimated cost of over $ 200,000.
Since the next application for a residence permit, if the rules are not followed, may lead to refusal of a residence permit due to real estate that does not fall under the law of October 16, 2023.
It is also worth being vigilant and noting the likelihood that the next step will be to raise the threshold for obtaining Turkish citizenship by investment.
Therefore, if you were planning to purchase real estate to obtain a Turkish passport, then you should hurry up and deal with this issue yesterday. Market experts predict a rapid increase in real estate for Turkish citizenship from 400 thousand to 1 million dollars, at least.
