Erdogan said that Turkey can set a record for tourists arriving from Russia.
A new record for the number of tourists arriving in Turkey from the Russian Federation is likely to be set this year, Turkish head of state Recep Tayyip Erdogan predicts. This is reported by TASS with reference to the office of the President of Turkey.
On Wednesday, August 2, Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“President Erdogan expressed satisfaction with the growing interest of Russian tourists in Turkey and expressed confidence that a record will be set this year through joint efforts [in the field of] tourism…” the Erdogan office said in a statement.
At the moment, approximate estimates of the passenger traffic of Russian vacationers at the end of this year are not called.
